This was used as a puppy harness when Maisie was around 6 months old. I have always loved the Hurrta gear and so this seemed an ideal fit for Maisie. Finding a harness to fit is a bit of a minefield. Different harnesses fit different dogs and what fits one dog may be unforgettable or cause chaffing on another. So, while this harness fitted her, I put it to the test, and she certainly put it through its paces.
The harness is made from quite thick neoprene which provides comfortable padding. It sits well on the dog, and a decent distance away from the armpits, thus in theory preventing rubbing and chaffing. There is one D ring on the top of the harness which is sturdy and strong enough to put up with pulling. There are high visibility 3M reflectors and it comes in a large variety of colours. For an idea of size, Maisie is a 10 month old, quite small and slim border collie and she has one in 70cm (28 inches)

How does the harness fit?
The harness fits very nicely in that Y shape. I never experienced any chafing or rubbing and the padding was in all the right places, particularly as she had quite a thin coat.
How does it cope with day to day use?
Whilst wearing this harness Maisie ran, she swam and she also had lead walks. It stayed in place while she ran and seemed comfortable and unrestrictive. She equally had no issues with swimming in it and being neoprene it dries lovely and quickly. The D ring on the top of the harness was sturdy and suitable for a strong puller!
This was a great little harness. Obviously this is the old design and I believe it has been altered since, but I was nothing but happy with this, and have every confidence in all of the products in the Hurtta range.
